Top of the league and best site overall was Privy Council Office. At the bottom of the table representing the poorest site overall was United Kingdom Passport Service, second from the bottom was UK Online for Business – site quoted as [taken from its front page]

- No sites were error free, lowest report errors was e-venturing, second lowest being the Wales Office site. The sites of HM Treasury, Inland Revenue and Department of Health having the most [detailed breakdown later in the report].

- 26 of the 56 sites failed basic meta data test for their front page – going against the government standard ‘EGMS’, along with causing sites unnecessary problems.

- 14 of the tested sites passed all basic speed tests, looking at first page download, simulated as being viewed by a home [56k], ADSL [512k] and user with corporate access [1mb], with 22 failing ALL tests.

- Site with the lowest number of warnings was e-venturing with a total of 16. UK Sport had the highest number of warnings, over ¾’s of a million [total 789,629 warnings being lack of compliance with HTML standards].

- Site with fastest overall server response was Trading Standards, where average page response was 0.0153 seconds. The site with the slowest response time was UK Online For Business where average response time was over 9 seconds per page.

- Site with highest download speed was E-envoy, and COI Communications had the slowest download speed of sites tested.
