This week, Support Lead, Helen Grimbly discusses the On Demand assessment options on the Digital Properties page.

Sitemorse provides On Demand options to run assessments when you want to from the Digital Properties page.

When you select the + plus icon to the left of the On Demand tab on your Digital Properties page, there are options displayed on four tabs:

Assess page or site

This can be used to assess 1 or more HTML pages, or 1 PDF document. In the former case more pages will be found by spidering from the start page. 
For HTML pages: 

• Add the address 
• Set the number of pages you require 
• Select Run audit… 

For PDF document: 

• Type in the PDF web address 
• Click checkbox 'Tick if the URL to be tested is a PDF file.' 
• Press 'Run audit'… 

Note this option can be used to run a 1 page SMARTVIEW as an alternative to using the in-browser SMARTVIEW (bookmark) tool, by adding as a web address and setting number of pages to 1.

Assess your entry / exit pages

This is useful to assess key entry and exit pages of your website, perhaps as reported by your CMS or analytics. 

• Add the addresses, one per line. 
• Add an optional label to name the assessment you're running. 
• Select either 'Run a single assessment for each URL' or 'Combine all URLs into a single report'. 
• Then select 'Run assessments' and you will be emailed when they are complete.

Upload list of URLs

This is useful if you want to run an assessment of a list of URLs uploaded from a file. Only the URLs listed in the file will be assessed. 

• Select a file that contains a list of up to 200 URLs, one per line. 
• Add an optional label to name the assessment you're running. 
• Select either 'Run a single assessment for each URL' or 'Combine all URLs into a single report'. 
• Then select 'Upload and verify URLs' and you will be emailed when they are complete.

Assess HTML source

This is useful if you want to assess the HTML source of a page directly, without it being fetched over the internet. 

• Select any existing site configuration that you would like to apply to your assessment (none if not required). 
• There is an option to upload a file that contains the HTML you want to assess. 
• Alternatively you can cut and paste the HTML source in to the provided area. 
• Select 'Assess HTML source code' and you will be emailed when it is complete.

Please note all assessments will be available to view under the Digital Properties 'On Demand' tab following their completion. Also note that assessments of more than 1 page require page credits.
