The European Accessibility Act (EAA) is a vital directive from the European Parliament and the Council of the EU, aimed at improving accessibility to products and services across the EU for people with disabilities. With the EAA deadline approaching, publishers need to be prepared. To help navigate these changes, join Data Conversion Laboratory’s (DCL) Lunch & Learn session on October 9 with industry experts Mark Gross and Bill Kasdorf.

The EAA sets requirements for making items such as books, websites, and digital services more accessible, with frontlist titles—newly published and actively promoted books—needing to comply by June 2025. Backlist titles, which are older books still available for sale, have a grace period until June 2030. Additionally, content compliance will be key, allowing people with disabilities equal access to information. This is especially crucial for those selling books in the EU and UK, as the UK is aligning with these regulations.

In the Lunch & Learn session, Mark Gross, President of DCL, and accessibility expert Bill Kasdorf will explore country-specific regulations, explain the 2030 extension, and share practical steps you can take now to stay ahead.

Don’t wait—register today and prepare for the EAA!
