Understanding Document Accessibility

Our clients focus their attention on website accessibility and web content, ensuring they meet the standards for usability by people with disabilities. However, it’s easy to overlook the importance of document accessibility. Document accessibility involves designing and creating documents that can be easily accessed, read and used by everyone, including individuals with vision, hearing, or cognitive impairments. By prioritising document accessibility, we ensure that all users can fully access and benefit from the information provided, promoting inclusivity and equal access to all digital resources.

The Role of the IAAP

The International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) aims “to define, promote, improve, and diversify the accessibility profession globally through certification, education, and networking in order to enable the creation of accessible products, content, services, and environments,” according to their website: https://www.accessibilityassociation.org/s/
