The Sitemorse INDEX is an independent benchmark of websites run across various sectors including 'Local Government', 'Central Government and Public Bodies' and 'London listed PLCs'. 

The INDEX, which was first published in 2001, is run every quarter and runs thousands of tests, checks and measures on each website. These are across a number of categories including accessibility, broken links, performance and code quality which are used to produce an overall score per website which, in turn, ranks the websites.

The next INDEX for 2022 (Q3) will start running on Friday 1^st July 2022. All clients will have the results made available to them w/c 18^th July and will be contacted via email by their account contact with the results. In due course, after the results have been emailed, clients will then receive their INDEX certificates and website badges (to place on their website to promote their achievement) if they are in the ‘Top 10 Sites’, or ‘Top 5 Risers’ for their respective sectors.

The results will be made available for general release on Friday 23^rd September 2022.
