Top of the League and best site overall was BG Group plc, with Bunzl plc in second place. Bottom of the table (3rd report running) was BAT plc.

The same sites continue to flaunt accessibility requirements, with no pages meeting basic requirements;
Sage, Liberty International, Vodafone, Scottish & Newcastle, EMAP, Abbey National, Reuters, and AstraZeneca.

- 5 sites had no errors Liberty International, HSBC, Whitbread, Bunzl and Antofagasta, and 36 sites had 10 or less – improvement from last report.
- 2 sites had over 1,000 errors in this test and 19 sites had over 100.
- 52% of the sites tested passed basic metadata test for their front page.
- 35% of the sites passed all basic speed tests, looking at first page download, simulated as being viewed by a home [56k], ADSL [512k] and user with corporate access [1mb].
- Site with the lowest number of warnings [best html] was DMGT; and Dixon’s (again, 4rd time running) had the highest number of warnings, with over 150,000. Warnings represent poor site build quality.
- Site with the fastest overall server response time was BG Group, with an average page response time of 0.041 seconds. The site with the slowest response time was BAT with an average page response time of over 6.5 seconds per page.
- Site with the fastest download speed was BEA Systems, and BAT had the slowest download speed of sites tested. BAT nearly 70 times slower than the fastest site.

Accessibility testing
- 5 sites achieved 100% compliance.
- 23 sites achieved over 90% compliance.
- 23 sites scored between 25% and 90% compliance.
- 9 sites scored between 10% and 25% compliance.
- 44 sites were less than 10% compliant, and 9 sites had zero pages compliant.

The tests completed address a number of the requirements for the mandatory priorities 1 only.
